Program description

This programme covers research in audio, environment, automotive, signal processing, materials, modelling and energy fields. Fields for acoustic PhD study include: three-dimensional sound reproduction and auralisation; absorbers for acoustics and noise control; acoustic simulation and modelling; acoustical engineering; archaeoacoustics; architectural acoustics; audio quality; audio signal processing; building acoustics including sound insulation; diffusers for auditoria and studios; environmental noise and vibration; metamaterials for acoustics; product design for sound quality; psychoacoustics for noise, music and other sounds; railway and tram noise and vibration; soundscapes; vibro-acoustics and NVH; wind turbine noise and SODAR.
