About this program
Electrical Engineering (4 Years)
The doctoral program Electrical Engineering is designed for independent researchers with broad professional skills in the area of electrical engineering and an in-depth basic methodological knowledge. The main fundamental goals of the program comprise: to inseparably link the studies with research and development work, to encourage a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering and its role in the broader scientific context, to master the state-of-the-art methods and technologies, and to prepare doctoral degree holders for creative scientific research and development work in the field of electrical engineering and broader subjects. The doctoral program in Electrical Engineering is organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering with the cooperation of individual experts in the area from other faculties of the University of Ljubljana. The program is structured so that it gives priority to optional choices over the compulsory part of the studies. The offer of subjects in the program is wide and versatile, which gives students the opportunity to plan their research careers and follow the needs of future employers as early as possible.
