Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering
The Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering enables to pursue the profession of Telecommunication Engineer (as regulated by Royal Decree 861/2010 and Ministry Order CIN/355/2009), to perform multiple activities in the telecommunication sector.
The degree provides an advanced training to be able to design, calculate and project products, processes, services and facilities in all telecommunication engineering areas, complying with current regulations and assuring the quality of service. Additionally, research tasks are also promoted.
Throughout the degree, the students will acquire skills in engineering project management, and specialized training in the latest details in telecommunication engineering fields, such as:
- Radio communication systems: radio communication devices, mobile and satellite communications, access networks, and radio navigation and positioning systems.
- Multimedia signal and communications processing: information theory and advanced multimedia signal processing.
- Telematics networks and services: network planning and management, Internet technologies and services.
- Electronic devices and systems: integrated electronic systems, sensors and actuators, control theory.
Admission requirements
The admission requirement is that the student has general education in the field of Telecommunication Engineering.
Based on the skills described in Ministerial Order CIN/352/2009, education will be considered general in this field if the student Bachelor degree includes:
- All skills of the basic education module.
- All skills of the common education module in the telecommunication engineering branch.
- Representative skills of the four specific technology modules, having studied at least 12 ECTS per specific module.
The commission that follows the quality of Master’s degree will study all candidates’ academic transcripts to know if each student complies with this requisite.
