Polytechnique Montréal offers a Mechanical Engineering programme. In a highly industrialized society, the production of consumer goods based on a complex and sophisticated tools. Everywhere there are machines or instruments, there are mechanical engineers to design, install and upgrade. Energy is also an area of study and research fundamental to the mechanical engineer. The development of machines that are used either to produce energy or to convert it to heat, cold or labor. The cost of fuel and pollution arising from their use are forcing engineers to optimize use of resources. The challenge is great because industrial growth still requires more power and productivity.
