
About this program
Industrial Automation Technician Diploma
This is the second year of Industrial Automation program at NIC.
Learn to work on all types of electronic systems including motor controls and programmable logic controllers, data acquisition, process control systems and robotics. You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, with a combined total of 1,400 hours of practical training, including a capstone project. As a graduate you’ll qualify to work in a variety of industries including renewable energy, oil and gas, manufacturing and more.
Admission requirements
- Successful completion of the Electronics Core Technician Certificate or the "core" electronics course requirements at any college or institute that is a member of the International Electronics Technician Articulation Committee. OR
- Submit the following:
- Post-secondary educational transcripts or related training documentation and, if applicable
- documentation of workplace hours in related discipline, and
- interview with instructor, after review of above documents.
In addition to above academic requirements, high school graduation requirement and English proficiency requirement apply to all international applicants.
