Master's Program in Chemical, Biochemical and Materials Engineering - Fibre and Polymer Engineering
Do you want to use your science and engineering skills to help tackle some of society’s biggest challenges? If so, the Fibre and Polymer Engineering could be for you. As a graduate from Fibre and Polymer Engineering you will have a diverse set of science and engineering skills that you can apply to the development of tomorrow’s sustainable materials. In addition to a strong grounding in science and engineering, graduates from Fibre and Polymer Engineering acquire skills in interdisciplinary team working, multidisciplinary thinking and product development. At the core of education in Fibre and Polymer Engineering is sustainability. Our focus is on the resource-efficient conversion of renewable biobased resources into materials for textiles, composites and many other products.
English is the language of instruction for this program, but there is a possibility to complete some courses in Finnish/Swedish.
Admission requirements
Applicants to the program must first meet the general eligibility and language requirements that are common to all Master's Programs in Science and Technology.
The following principles apply during the academic evaluation of eligible applications. These principles are revised annually.
The student selection process is competitive. The applicant’s suitability for the program is evaluated. The best applicants are granted admission to the program. The selection of students is primarily based on the application documents. Not all eligible applicants will necessarily be admitted, CHEM Master’s program does not have a minimum quota to be fulfilled.
The programs reserve the right to interview the applicants if it is necessary to clarify the applicant’s motivation or other information in the application.
