Charge up your career with USQ’s Associate Degree of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic). The Associate Degree of Engineering will give you the freedom of choice to start up your career or set a stepping stone for further study.

Previous experience through TAFE or work?

Already hold a Diploma through TAFE or experience through work? Then fast track your degree with thecredit you’ve already earned.

Why Electrical?

With exciting and practical studies, you’ll work with transmitters, microprocessors, power electronic converters and motors to prepare you for the workforce. You’ll get hands-on with modern electronic technology, and learn the practical knowledge and skills to achieve a great career in the fields of circuit design, electric vehicle technology, electricity generation or renewable technologies.

Electrical engineers design, build and operate electrical devices and systems from small scale transmitters to major projects in the fields of medicine, power and technology. 

Professional accreditation

When you graduate with your Associate Degree, you’ll be eligible to apply for provisional accreditation withEngineers Australia. Apply for membership after you graduate to become an Engineering Associate (Officer) and with the experience you will get from working in the field, you may apply for chartered status as an Engineering Officer.
