Joint Degree in Mine Engineering and Energy Studies
Students who successfully complete the University's double degree in Mining Engineering and in Energy Engineering will obtain both qualifications. Their employment opportunities will therefore include occupations in fields such as: extraction of coal, oil and gas; water abstraction; thermal, nuclear and hydroelectric power stations; electrical, , heating and cooling installations; extraction of ornamental and decorative rocks; using ornamental and decorative rocks; public works: viaducts, tunnels, etc.; underground works: roads, railways, metro systems, etc.; explosives and pyrotechnics; manufacture, storage and use. Moreover, this degree also prepare students to work in fields like power stations; transmission and distribution of electrical energy; electrical installations; efficient use of electrical energy; extraction of coal, oil and gas; transport and distribution of fuel; all types of energy installations; etc.
