The UPC offers 66 bachelor’s degrees, 81 master’s programs (34 of them fully in English) and 45 PhD programs in the fields of: Architecture and Urban Planning; Aerospace Engineering; Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering; Civil, Environmental and Geological Engineering; Computer Science; Engineering for Industry: Energy, Biomedical, Chemical, Electrical, Materials and Mechanical; Naval, Maritime and Nautical Engineering; Telecommunications and Electronic Systems Engineering; Applied Sciences: Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Optics and Photonics.

Every year, more than 6,000 bachelor’s and master’s students and more than 500 doctoral students graduate. The UPC has a high graduate employment rate: 93% of its graduates are in work and 76% find a job in under three months.

In the 2021 edition of QS World University ranking by Subject, the UPC is ranked 20th in the world in Architecture and 29th in Civil and Structural Engineering. It is also among the world’s top 50 universities in Telecommunications, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and among the world's top 100 universities in the field of Engineering and Technology and in the subjects of Computer Science, and Mechanical, Aeronautical and Industrial Engineering. It is the first Spanish University in Engineering and Technology and in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Computer Science.

Scholarships & funding

UPC · BarcelonaTech is a public institution and the prices that apply to their studies are already subsidized. Then, there are no own scholarship programs for non-EU residents.
However, the university maintains agreements of collaboration with governmental organisms or non-governmental ones that summon scholarship programs. You can apply to these programs if you meet the requirements.

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya is a prestigious and well-known institution of Higher Education, nationally and internationally.

In order to develop its international policy, the UPC is member to 16 networks of universities of excellence, each of which has different objectives. The UPC has different top facilities and labs where to develop research projects, which have helped UPC become a benchmark university in Europe in innovation and technology transfer. In collaboration with other public and private institutions, UPC has created research centers with its own legal entity, internationally recognized, such as the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE), the Institute of Spatial Studies of Catalunya (IEEC) or the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).

Student services & facilities

UPC, through the OMI (International Mobility Office), provides students with the usual services required by the international community, such as: information and advice about mobility calls, language courses, accommodation, foreign bureaucracy, and different cultural and social activities of interest for international students. This office also deals with the different mobility programs, the renewal of residence permits and manages fee waivers in case of international scholarship agreements.

UPC has 12 libraries in its various Campus and Schools.

Sports complex in Campus Nord (Barcelona), and 2 gym centers, (Campus Sud and Terrassa Campus). You can also compete in the sports leagues.

UPC schools are at the service of learning, research, and knowledge.

The UPC has a great presence throughout the Catalan territory, with 9 campuses distributed among 6 cities in Catalonia. We have schools in Barcelona and in several nearby towns: Castelldefels, Manresa, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Terrassa, and Vilanova i la Geltrú.

These training centers, with a long background in Higher Education, are well communicated by public transport and are equipped with the facilities and services required for your education. We offer learning, research, and community living spaces.

Barcelona: The UPC has three campuses and 8 schools and faculties located in the city. Two of them are located in Zona Universitària, a wide area that concentrates the majority of faculties and schools of several universities, on both sides of Avinguda Diagonal.

Good program with many specializations available (antennas, microwaves, mobile communicaytions, electronics...). Given the circumstances, good experience. It gives the title of Superior Telecom Engineer (within Spanish territory).
