Admission requirements

In order to access official master's degrees, it will be necessary to hold an official Spanish university degree. Also, university graduates may access university education systems without the need for homologation of their degrees, but it will be necessary to prove a level of education equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees.

To take the Master, an official Spanish university degree is required. Likewise, access will be given to holders of university degrees from foreign education systems in accordance with the Madrid Autónoma University’s Normativa de Enseñanzas Oficiales de Posgrado (Official Postgraduate Teaching Regulation).

However, the following are considered to be the most suitable academic add professional profiles for access to the Master:

  • Holders of degrees with appropriate know-how and competencies to intervene in the territory in the context of planning and development (geographers, economists, lawers, sociologists, architects and highway engineers, among others)
  • Practicing professionals with these degrees, or those who do not hold degrees, but who can prove professional practice in companies related to planning and development (consultants, studios, etc.) or in administrations competent in these matters (town planning, housing or territorial development departments belonging to town councils, counties, regional autonomies or central administrations).

The Master Coordination Commission plans to conduct interviews with applicants in order to orient the candidates in practical questions (choice of optional subjects, integration into teams for practical work, practical work in organisms or companies, final Master project, etc.), according to their previous qualifications and their future work orientation.
