Mechatronics comprises a wide range of activities that includeresearching, designing, developing, manufacturing, managing, andcontrolling engineering systems and subsystems, and their components. The field is one of the main parts of School of MechanicalEngineering.
The many areas to which mechanical engineers make substantialcontributions include transportation, power generation, energyconversion, and environmental control, along with all of the variousmanufacturing complexes required to build these and other systems andtheir component parts.
