Mechanical Engineering

The general objectives of the Graduate or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering are:

Train professionals who are capable of projecting, directing and coordinating all activities related to Mechanical Engineering, such as construction, reform, repair, conservation, demolition, manufacturing, installation, assembly or exploitation of structures, mechanical equipment, energy systems, industrial plants and manufacturing processes.

Provide professionals with extensive training in basic and technological subjects, which enable them to learn new methods and theories, as well as providing them with great versatility to adapt to new situations.

To train professionals who are capable of solving problems with initiative, decision making, creativity, critical reasoning and to communicate and transmit knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

To train professionals who know and develop applications of information technology and communications to the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Train graduates to work in multidisciplinary teams of research, development and innovation in an international context, training them in interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Train the graduate in the basic principles of organization and business management, marketing and marketing, quality management, environment and occupational risk prevention; all in the technical and economic aspects, oriented to total quality.

Transmit professionals an ethical and responsible attitude, respect for people, the social environment and the environment.

Provide graduates with skills and techniques that allow them to promote and carry out innovations, based on the culture of continuous improvement.

The requirements for access to the proposed title are according to article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, modified by Royal Decree 861/2010, of July 2:

  1. To access the official master's degree programs, it will be necessary to hold an official university degree from Spain or another one issued by a higher education institution belonging to another member state of the European Higher Education Area, which will authorize access to university master education.
  2. Likewise, graduates may access according to educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area without the need for homologation of their degrees, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of education equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they authorize in the issuing country the title for access to postgraduate education. The access by this way will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous title of the one in possession of the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of studying the Master's degree.
