The Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering offer students projects in the field of Laser Materials Processing and Friction Stir Welding.
Together, Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering students will form part of the research team in the Manufacturing Technology Research Centre, which is situated within the School of Engineering.
Part of the programme is the dissertation, where students must prove that they understand a particular problem in the industry. They need to show that they are able to set it out logically and have the capacity to arrive at logical conclusions or a diagnosis, and then able to make proposals for the improvement/elimination of the problem.
The Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering dissertation must comply with the normal requirements and rules with regard to scope, quality and layout.
