MIT has partnered up with E-tec to bring you this dynamic course to kick start your career in electrotechnology.
The programme will prepare you for the hands-on tasks you’ll be working on in the industry including installing and maintaining electronic appliances and communication systems.
Even if you have already begun your career in the industry, E-tec has state-of-the-art facilities and expert tutors to provide you with the hands-on experience you need.
Availability and Length: This course has flexible enrolment, you can start anytime, and can be completed in 9 months (full-time) or 12-18 months (part-time).
What you'll learn
First Year
- Electromechanical engineering principles
- Electrical principles in an electrotechnology/telecommunications environment
- Principled and applications of specialist equipment used in electronic repairs
- Principles and concepts of extra low and low voltage customer premise systems
- Stakeholder engagement
- Diagnosis and fault finding
- Workplace safety
Second Year
The programme becomes more specialised in your second year of training, where you can choose strands in:
- Installation – Install and maintain networks and systems
- Service – Service and repair diverse range of end-user appliances, goods and/or equipment at a non-complex level. This strand also makes you eligible to be registered and licensed as an Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (endorsed to disconnect and connect) (EAS endorsed).
