Are you ready to move into the role of an advanced mechanical engineer, specialist, team leader or workshop supervisor?

If you have a mechanical engineering related trade qualification and want to move into an advanced level or supervisory role, this programme is for you. You will develop and sharpen your leadership, technical and operational skills.

At MIT you may spend time in our well-equipped engineering workshops. The course is also online and can be done in your own workshop. Our tutors work closely with industry training organisations and mechanical engineering firms which means you will keep pace with current technologies.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

Apply the relevant Health and Safety legislation and workplace safety requirements to ensure the safety of all work under own engineering-related area of control
Apply advanced technical and/or operational skills and knowledge and critical problem solving skills to mechanical engineering, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication processes
Drive the application of effective and efficient processes and principles, and quality systems within own engineering-related area of control
Investigate a new technology and how it may be employed to improve or replace an existing mechanical engineering, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication process
Train or mentor people to ensure quality mechanical engineering, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication outcomes.
