About this program
Master of Civil Engineering Technology
Built on a solid foundation in structural design and structural innovation, this programs will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a civil engineer. Through the choice of materials, numerical simulation and construction methods you will be able to design structures with a specific purpose that are fully compliant with environmental, legal and structural rules. You will be able to translate a project from concept to realisation, arriving at a structural design that meets the relevant criteria of strength, serviceability, energy efficiency, durability, etc.
This master's program endows students with the broader, advanced, scientific knowledge and skills required for success within the professional sphere, whilst placing a particular focus on the science of civil engineering. You will examine the engineering behind the construction of buildings and infrastructure; explore the design process and understand the technical execution and latest innovations. This process is driven and supported by technological developments, such as new materials, building information modelling (BIM), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technologies (HVAC).
All applications from students who have obtained a degree outside the Flemish Community are evaluated by both KU Leuven Admissions Office and the relevant master's Program director. Final admission decisions will made be at the discretion of the Faculty.
