The program offers the choice between two options founded upon a common core, both resulting in a strong own profile that corresponds with specific needs in the industry. The common core of the Master in Civil Engineering provides a solid foundation for the specialization in either of the two options, and also covers a number of generic aspects that are important in the design, management and execution of construction projects.
The focus of the two options is:
- The Structural Engineering option prepares you for the structural design of buildings and infrastructure (roads, bridges, tunnels, etc.), ensuring that all loads can be handled in a safe and efficient way.
- The Hydraulic Engineering option prepares you for water management (sewerage, water distribution, ...) and water infrastructure (locks, coastal protection, ...), taking into account aspects of the environment and climate change.
