The Master in Aeronautical Management at the International Graduate Center (IGC) provides graduates that hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree and have experience in the aviation industry with specific management skills for a leadership career in the airline industry, air transport and governmental institutions.

This Master of Engineering is designed to strengthen competences in general management as well as specifically specialized management for the aeronautical field. The program prepares its participants for leadership positions within aviation systems, air transport businesses and governmental institutions. The teaching staff is composed of university professors and lecturers with practical experience in the airline industry.

Admission requirements

  • Aviation-related first degree
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a pilot, in aircraft maintenance or in the aviation industry
  • High English proficiency (IELTS 6,0, or TOEFL iBT min. 80)
  • All documents must be provided in English (or German)
  • Funding for tuition fees and living costs
  • The ambition to develop a career in the international aviation industry

Program delivery

The program begins in the winter semester. The introductory events and courses start in October. The semester runs probably until mid-February, so make sure to plan accordingly. The summer semester begins after a short break in March. Starting in July, you can use the lecture-free period to work on your master’s thesis.
