About this program
Master Engineering Systems: Embedded Systems
The Embedded Systems Masters track teaches you how to design and implement smart distributed systems that are low cost, energy efficient and can solve tasks cooperatively. You will learn to design and implement architectures for distributed embedded systems, innovation services and advanced algorithms to solve complex tasks. You will also learn to model and validate complex non-linear systems with multiple inputs and outputs using UML and/or SysML, black box modelling and system identification. And you will learn how to create a digital feedback controller for a linear physical system and to apply control strategies.
Course content
Term 1:
- Module Systems Modelling (15 ECTS)
Modelling of physical systems, including white and black box modelling. - Module Applied Control (15 ECTS)
Includes feedback, digital and optimal control and controller implementation.
Term 2:
- Module System Architecture (15 ECTS)
Design an architecture for distributed systems, with the goal to solve complex problems cooperatively. - Module Big data and small data (15 ECTS)
Term 3:
- Graduation Project (30 ECTS)
As an embedded systems engineer you are involved in the design, development, production and evaluation of all kinds of intelligent systems and smart devices. You also possess valuable skills in applied research and project management.
