About this program

Bachelor in Automotive Engineering

The 4-year Automotive Engineering Bachelor course prepares students for design and testing of complete vehicles and components. Graduates will have a broad range of automotive skills in mechanical engineering, chassis design as well as future mobility concepts and management in an international setting. The Automotive Engineer is able to contribute in all departments and is an excellent trouble shooter in finding solutions through research or otherwise.

The Automotive Engineering course combines theory with practice within its study modules as well as through internship and graduation assignment. Learning to work in projects with people from different cultures and background plays an important role in preparing students for a successful international career in the automotive industry. Students gather work experience during their study through their internship (6 months) in a country of their choosing.

Admission requirements

Students wishing to study Automotive Engineering must meet the following requirements:

  • Havo / vwo: subject requirements see: For dutch students only: ‘toelatingseisen havo-diploma’ en ‘toelatingseisen vwo-diploma'
  • Mbo (level 4)
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Abitur or Fachhochschulreife
  • General Certificate of Secondary Education (GSE-A level)
  • Sekolah Menegah Atas (SMA)

A sufficient level of fluency in English is a prerequisite for admission to this course, for example:

  • An IELTS score of at least 6.0 or
  • A TOEFL score of at least 80 (internet based)
  • A Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Proficiency (CPE)

Students should have sufficient scores in English, mathematics and physics.
