Infrastructure & Green Cities Master Track
The Infrastructure and Green Cities programme is a specialisation track within the MSc in Urban Management and Development, which offers the opportunity to access a unique framework that helps cities become greener, more sustainable and competitive.
Developed by IHS, this Green City concept views cities as broadly composed of three elements: the built, natural and anthropogenic environments. This trajectory focuses on the built environment with an emphasis on drinking water and sanitation, energy and transport sectors.
In addition, students are also provided with the financial instruments needed to build efficient and cost-effective infrastructure networks for good service delivery. Besides getting a good grip of theory, students also apply it in practical exercises such as the Cheongyecheon Restoration Project, the development of a business plan, and planning a green and sustainable city in a simulated environment.
This course is ideal for fresh graduates and working professionals with one of the following backgrounds:
Architecture, Civil Engineering, Development Studies, Economics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Infrastructure, Natural resources, Political Science, Public Administration, Real Estate, Social Science, Urban Studies and Urban planning.
We welcome applications from prospective students with a wide variety of backgrounds, all related to the field of urban management and development. Each application is considered carefully, taking the individual potential of the applicant into account. Before you start your application, please read the application procedure and admissions information carefully. The requirements and the procedure apply to all six specialization tracks.
