Program content

The Environmental Engineering and Sustainability Management (EESM) Master's Program aims to produce engineers and project managers who are able to tackle a wide variety of environmental challenges, such as industrial discharge control, chemical and biological approaches to pollution diagnosis, water-related engineering and soil treatment, and waste valorization. The Program also covers new concepts such as life cycle assessment, eco-design, omics sciences, numerical simulation and modeling.

While most master's courses devoted to environmental issues only provide students with technical skills, EESM also prepares you for managing positions. All the professors in the Program work to help students become both technically skilled and job ready by the end of the two years. Throughout the Master's Program, students have the opportunity to go on a number of field trips and company visits. They also get to put their skills into practice during two internships:

  • The first internship takes place at the end of Year 1 and lasts four months. During this period, students must work on a scientific project.
  • The second internship takes place at the end of the Program and lasts five to six months. Students have the choice between completing either a scientific or managerial project.

The cost of this course is €14,100 per year + €90 application fee.

Graduates of this program will receive a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Sustainability Management.

Something that is great about the program is that a big part of it is practical work. You don’t just sit and study the theory, you practice.

Everyday, the GD program is polishing up analytical capability so much, which I went on to develop in the Japanese Ministry of Finance. I strongly recommend the program not only to new graduates, but also to people who have working experiences.
