About this program
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Budapest University ofTechnology and Economics has a continuous and progressive 150-yearhistory of teaching Mechanical Engineering; and now offers a MSc programme in Mechanical Engineeringtaught in English. This course utilises all the teaching experience ofthe department but now better accomodates international students.
This Masters course deals with those time-dependent problems of mechanicalengineering, which typically require the efficient modeling oftasks and understanding in the continuously developing methods ofcomputational engineering.
Mechanical Engineering MSc teaches students the fundamentals of mathematics, solid mechanics,fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electronics, control and informatics. Students then choose a major and a minor specialization from thefollowing list of modules:
- Solid Mechanics
- Fluid Mechanics
- Thermal Engineering
- Design and Technology
- Industrial Electronics (minor only)
- Robotics
Upon completion of the Mechanical Engineering Masters programme students can pursue their studies further with the BUTE PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
