Communications and Networking
The two-year study program MPA-CAN has been designed and guaranteed by the FEEC BUT and Tampere University (TAU). Students of the FEEC BUT are required to complete compulsory and optional courses worth at least 23 ECTS points; the final theses will be supervised jointly by both institutions. The tuition fee for the double-degree version of MPA-CAN may be waived during the study period; the students, however, are invariably responsible for funding all their living and study-related expenses, such as accommodation, insurance, and course materials costs. The MPA-CAN classes will open if at least three (3) students have registered; with fewer than six (6) participants, however, the instruction will be delivered in the form of guided study.
This program is suitable for engineers and electricians.
After completing the requirements, the applicants will be invited to participate in the entrance examination. Important terms and conditions are outlined in the corresponding Dean's regulation. The concrete date and time will be communicated to the applicants at least a month prior to the examination. An alternate term can be granted only if health issues or other serious problems occur. An applicant will be entitled to request such an exemption only once, and participating in another entrance exam held elsewhere at the same time will not be considered an excuse for absence. An appropriate excuse letter, completed with a doctor’s note or a similar slip of proof, must be submitted the day after the regular date of the exam.
