Architecture and Urban Design
The study program is aimed at achieving such a degree of the graduates' qualification that in the process of authorization - he or she is able to prove the required knowledge and skills.
Specialised study is aimed at educating a highly qualified conceptual worker in the field of architecture and urban design.
The graduates gain the knowledge and skills qualifying them to meet the conditions of the Authorisation Rules of the Czech Chamber of Architects, which enables them to pursue a freelance profession.
Admission requirements
Only the bachelor study programme graduates who meet the requirements of the EC Directive 2005/36/EC, Article 46, on training of architects, may apply for master study programme at the BUT Faculty of Architecture.
All applicants (except FA BUT bachelor graduates) shall present a proof of bachelor degree.
Foreign applicants (except applicants from Slovakia) must present an officially certified
document of applicant’s qualification (diploma and diploma supplement) and the proof
of recognition of acquired qualification in the Czech Republic. The higher-education
qualification is recognized upon request and the presented graduation certificates by any
public university providing similar study programme.
The foreign applicants must present the English language certificate (TOEFL (Test of
English as a Foreign Language) min. 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based) or
80 (internet-based), IELTS min. 6, FCE min. C) from any accredited institution.
