Master in Mechanical Engineering

The School of Mechanical Engineering is a well-known school nationally in China, with its comprehensive strength and international influence at the top of domestic schools and some of its research at the leading edge internationally. The school has an annual funding of more than $200 million and has established a wide range of personnel training and scientific research cooperation agreement with domestic and foreign famous automobile enterprises.

Laboratories including the National Laboratory for Tank Transmission Technology, the National Engineering Laboratory for Electric Vehicles, the Laboratory for Vehicle Power Technology, the Testing Laboratory for Vehicle Emission, and the National Engineering Training Center all contribute to high-quality research at BIT.

The research on laser micro-nano fabrication leads research in China and vehicle transmission and new concept vehicles research had reached the leading edge internationally.

During graduate studies, students will systematically master in-depth expert theory from the mechanical engineering, power engineering, the engineering of thermal physics and transportation engineering fields. Moreover, students can work independently and undertake professional, technical, or management work. Graduates will leave BIT prepared for teaching and scientific research work in related fields.
