This program is your first step towards a career as a Chief Engineer in the commercial marine industry.Marine Engineers are trained in the efficient operation and maintenance of the propulsion plant and other machinery systems found in all oceangoing ships. The main responsibilities include: maintaining and repairing propulsion, electrical, and auxiliary systems, equipment diagnostics and problem solving, and conducting daily watchkeeping duties.
