As an engineer you address the key issues we face today, like access to clean water, sustainable energy systems, waste management, recycling and environmental pressures. In our engineering degree you learn to formulate models and analyse, predict and monitor engineering systems – essential skills in professional engineering.

With the Mechatronics Engineering major in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) you develop professional skills in several engineering disciplines, including complex technical, business and project management techniques.

Mechatronics engineers design and develop smart products and processes. They use principles of mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering, and computer science to create solutions and systems that are effective and viable. The Mechatronics Engineering major covers engineering fundamentals as well as human-centred design and systems thinking.
