The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is an innovative, teaching and research oriented university with a distinctly international profile. 41% of undergraduate students participate in international mobility programs (from 6 months to 2 years in duration) while paying the low fees of UC3M. UC3M offers a broad range of bachelor's and master’s degree programs in English or bilingual modalities in fields including Economics and Business, Engineering, Law, Communication, Social Sciences etc. Most bachelor's degrees in Engineering have been awarded the EUR-ACE quality certificate and the ones in the area of Business Economics the AACSB Accreditation. UC3M has distinguished itself through the high job placement rate of its graduates, which according to the latest study on career placement is 91.4%.
UC3M invites students who have earned their high school diploma outside Spain to discover its bachelor's degree offering and benefit from an expedited admission process. Two different admission procedures are open for international students:
- The expedited admission process for UC3M Bachelor degrees is open from November to May for degree seeking students who have completed (or will complete) their High School studies in foreign education systems with a competitive GPA.
- The second expedited admission process at UC3M is the International Foundation Program, which is open to degree- seeking students who have completed (or will complete) their high school studies in foreign education systems that wants to better-define their academic preferences and clear up uncertainties before beginning their undergraduate studies. In this way, the student’s transition to the Spanish university system is also facilitated, all while cultural and linguistic immersion takes place and students acquire the necessary knowledge to successfully complete their studies.
International mobility opportunities
The University has signed 870 international mobility agreements with universities in 56 countries. UC3M is one of the top universities in Spain and in Europe in terms of the number of students who take part in the Erasmus+ European and Non-European mobility programs.
41% of the students who graduate every year from UC3M have participated in international mobility programs. While paying UC3M tuition, students will be able to study at institutions such as Purdue University, the University of California, Georgia Institute of Technology or John Hopkins University.
International Foundation Program
The UC3M International Foundation Program (IFP) was created as a result of the need to support certain international students who would like to better define their academic preferences and to get familiar with the European academic system. The IFP is a one-year program, in English or Spanish, divided into two knowledges areas: Social Sciences and Humanities, Engineering.
Through this immersion program, students will acquire adequate knowledge of both the Spanish language and culture to successfully complete their studies
Carlos III International School (C3IS)
The Carlos III International School (C3IS) helps students meet their academic needs through specific programs, customized courses on international topics, language courses as well as different activities oriented to international students wellness.
