Estonian Academy of Arts for Higher Education in the Arts, Media and Design
The Estonian Academy of Arts (EAA) is the only public university in Estonia offering higher education in design, media, fine arts, visual studies, art culture, cultural heritage, architecture and conservation. The academy was founded in 1914 and is located in the capital city of Tallinn and is the leading national centre of innovation in visual culture.
The institution consists of 89 professors, associate professors, lecturers and teachers from Estonia and abroad and have nearly 1,100 students enrolled. The facility contains 50 well-equipped workshops with 38 skilled technicians available to assist students. Class sizes are kept small to facilitate the personal, one-on-one approach the institution has adopted.
EEA offers seven Master's programmes taught in the English language and these are: Interaction Design, Urban Studies, Design & Crafts, Animation, Design & Engineering, Interior Architecture, and Literature, Visual Culture and Film Studies. Each are two-year programmes and are worth 120 ECTS.
