Mälardalen University is situated around Lake Mälaren, about one hour by train from Stockholm and Arlanda Airport.
The region where Mälardalen University has its campuses, features beautiful Swedish countryside with lakes, woods, and open fields, but also multinational companies such as ABB, Ericsson, and Volvo. Eskilstuna and Västerås are on either side of Sweden’s third-largest lake, Mälaren, and both are about one hour’s travel by train from Stockholm, the capital.
